My senior dog takes medicine twice a day and does not want to take it any other way - and I've tried them all! She hears me opening the Pill Pocket bag and the medicine bottle and comes running. Giving medicine is such an easy task now!
These fell apart when I added the meds and are really useless. Going back to the other flavors since my dogs will eat them all, but this one smelled nice and dogs loved it, but not going to pay the extra money to buy something I cannot use. Very disappointed.
Pill pockets are great, but the flavors are not all consistent in moistness. The beef flavor is the best, but hard to find. The peanut butter is the driest, then hickory, then chicken being the least, next to beef. My dogs did not like the duck. When I insert a pill, the peanut butter pocket falls apart. Being peanut butter, I thought it would be more oily..... I was WRONG.
The peanut butter for capsules ar great for giving my Maltese her heart meds. She takes 4 pills twice a day, so I only use 2 pill pockets per day. She loves the peanut butter the best of all the pill pockets. I put her medication in the pocket and tighten the edges. She looks forward to this each day! Reduces her stress and mine as there is no need to stick pills down her throat several times. Pill pockets make for a pleasant treat for the both of us and neither of us dread the pill routine any longer. The capsule size allows me to place all 4 pills in the pocket. If I were a dog I would want my master to buy these for my medication! Woof Woof!
