Do not exert pressure to the rim area of the glass.  Not for use on stove top or microwave oven.  Do not force the glass at any time during the installation or removal process.

Loosen the two screws in the handle as much as possible to remove the old glass beaker.  Clean the stainless bands and handle before installing the replacement glass.  Set the replacement beaker into the frame, making sure that the spout is facing opposite the handle and the two bands are parallel to each other.  The lower band should be approximately the same level as the filter spring.  Tighten the screws using the appropriate screwdriver.  Use caution when tightening the screws and do not over tighten.  Test the installation by filling the beaker with cold water and do not over tighten.  Test the installation by filling the beaker with cold water and making sure that it is firmly secured in place.  To remove the glass beaker from the plastic base, grasp the glass beaker near the bottom and rotate until the spout is under the handle notch.  Lift handle notch over the spout and gently remove the glass beaker.  If it is difficult to rotate or remove the glass place the entire coffee maker into a sink of hot water for a few minutes to soften the plastic and then attempt to remove the old beaker.  To replace, follow directions in reverse order.  Use caution when installing and uninstalling any glass beaker.  Avoid using force.
