This is the first BB/CC I've used & I like it a lot. I prefer using mineral sunscreens, which this is. (I am surprised how difficult it is to find them!) I use this cream each morning after washing & moisturizing my face lavishly with Olay Complete SPF 15. This is simply a precaution to make sure I apply enough sunscreen to really protect my skin. (I always wear a floppy hat when I'm in the sun. I have no pride about how stupid I look--it saves my skin). Anyway, once the Olay sinks in, I rub on enough Atopalm to completely cover my face & neck. It's a GREAT 'foundation' & adds another level of 20 SPF protection. I do not think one must reapply every 2 hours unless one is swimming or sweating a lot. The directions may imply that, but most other sunscreens make the distinction about swimming/sweating. Still, if you slather on a less expensive, slightly lower SPF lotion first, you're covered. I find that this product covers really well with a small amount. It makes my skin look clear, even & dewy--which I like a lot! However, it also means you can't 'apply liberally' without (possibly) putting on too much. So, use TWO mineral sunscreens & get the great benefits of BOTH. BTW, Atopalm does great stuff for your skin, too. I have a very 'normal' skin tone for a white woman & the Medium shade works well for me.
The product blends well and feels good on the skin but it needs reapplying every two hours. That just won't work for me. I need to be able to do my makeup and be good for the day. So I will go back to my original routine of using nonnano clear zinc oxide under my makeup which is good for the whole day.
