I absolutely LOVE this stuff. Ever since my skin did a bizarre overnight shift from somewhat dry to REALLY oily around when I turned 40, I've been fighting breakouts. I've tried several oily-skin cleansers and other products, but none have given even close to the results of this. I could see a difference within 3 days of starting to use it! At first I was hesitant to spend [$] on a bar of soap... but then I realized that I wouldn't think twice about spending that amount if it were in a bottle. I'm glad logic prevailed because it's worth every penny.As some reviewers have mentioned, it does leave a bit of a film on my skin. However, this becomes barely noticeable if I follow up with witch hazel as a toner. That's really the only con I can think of!

Leaves skin clean and smooth. This and the tomato toner are the best acne products iv'e ever used.

I have oily and acne-prone skin but had not experienced much acne since high school as I had been using ProActiv products with great success. I wanted to find skin products with less chemicals that were organic so I chose Burt's Bees tomato toner and facial soap after reading several excellent reviews. After using these products for about two months, I have the worst acne I have ever had in my entire life. I have developed more acne literally every single day since I have been using this product. I have come to the conclusion that this product will definitely not work for me and am going to throw it away and look for something else that is organic and is actually effective for me. Maybe people who do not have acne-prone skin will have success with this product but I would suggest that those with acne-prone skin do not use it. It also did not remove make up at all. After washing with the bar soap and using the toner, the cotton ball I used to apply the toner would be covered with make up and even after several applications of the toner I would still have make up residue. I would not recommend these products for daily wearers of make up unless another make up remover is used in addition to these products.

I love this as it is hard to find stuff that doesn't make me break out. No zits yet.

I had a horrible breakout for several months and tried several over-the-counter products and prescription treatments. Nothing worked... until I tried this out of desperation. After 2 weeks my skin was clearer, brighter, and smoother! I have been using this product since that time. It does not eliminate all breakouts, but for the most part my skin remains clear. I recently stopped using it to try other products but after 1 month I saw an increase in acne...so I am stocking up again. The price has continued to increase but this is still MUCH cheaper than many of the products I tried in the past. The bar dissolves quickly if you leave it in the shower -- it will last much longer if you keep it in a dry place.

I have tried many Burt's Bees products, but this seems to top the list! I have always struggled with combination, acne-prone skin. I really have tried almost everything for years with no success. My aunt is a big fan of Burt's Bees and had me try this soap out. The smell is a little offending, but once you get over that, HELLO beautiful skin! It does leave kind of a weird slightly waxy film over your face for a little while after use. I have not had this clog my pores however. I usually use the soap once to get off make-up, dirt, etc. then I rinse and use again with a small face brush. This seems to get all the left over stuff off of my face. I follow up with additional products but Burt's complexion soap definitely makes the difference. I especially like that it lasts quite a while, is fairly reasonable in price, and is natural with no preservatives. As a last bit of advice, buy a soap saver of some kind otherwise this soap will get mushy fast! Hope this helps!

I really like this no frills bar soap cleanser! It smells amazing, takes off my very hard to remove foundation, leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean but not overly dry, and helps balance the oils on my combo-skin! I use this soap, followed by the Tomato Toner, and then my oil-free moisturizer, and my skin is radiant, clear, & balanced!

I tried this stuff in hopes that it would help my oily/acne prone skin. It didn't. I used it for two weeks and only made things worse. I never really felt "clean" after using it, like there was a film on my face. I'll admit that it is gentle, because it never dried me out. I don't care much for the smell though, either. This product was a disappointment for me.

I really like this soap. I have very oily skin and I use it along with the garden tomato toner and it has worked wonders so far. I would only change the way its made; I really dont like bar soap but I will put up with it because it works!!

I love, love, love the smell. Also, it keeps my skin non-oily for about 6 hours. I only gave it 4 stars because I can't use it at night.
