I always get a severe case of poison ivy Burt's really worked well to keep it under control. Jewelweed is the key.

I am allergic to poison ivy. I had a bad case last summer and the prescription creams and antihistamines weren't working. After three weeks I had it above the knees to my waist and all over my neck; and it was still spreading. I tried this soap and within 24 hours the rashes started to dry up, no new spots developed. If you already have the rash- scrub this soap on to the rash with a rough cloth or gauze pad.

After reading the reviews about this soap on this site, I decided to give it a go. I've had a bit of a poison ivy infestation in my garden, and every time I've tried working in my garden I end up with a pretty nasty reaction to poison ivy - though I'd never gotten Poison Ivy until I was 26! the last time I was in my garden pulling out the poison ivy which we'd sprayed and that which we missed I came in and washed all possible affected areas - hands, arms & feet. I NEVER had any sort of reaction after using the soap - and i'm pretty sure i did accidentally brush against some of the unsprayed ivy! The soap has a strong herbal scent - not altogether pleasant nor unpleasant; and definitely much preferred over other more mainstream remedies. I highly recommend it!

I loved this product. I'm in the garden all the time and have gotten poison ivy often. This is the first product that I have found that really helps relieve the itching. It feels good and comforts the skin. I shared my bar with a friend so Im getting another one for me... just in case. I'll be prepared!

My husband is a park ranger and swears by this soap. We keep it on hand at all times. He comes into frequent contact with poison ivy and has found that this soap significantly reduces his recovery time. He often does not have the time or facilities to wash off any oils he comes into contact with during his work day, but does use it every night after returning home.

I am never without this soap. It works wonders when used soon after the exposure to poison ivy, but I have found that at the first signs of the rash, if you make a paste from the lather and leave it on the rash, the rash disappears. This has been a miracle product for me because I am so allergic to poison ivy and apparently have it in my yard!

I knew of this product and kept it on hand in case of my husband's next poison oak contact (hasn't needed it yet), so when my step-mom told me she was just exposed to poison ivy, I had some sent to her. By the time she received it, her reaction was already pretty bad, but she said it definitely brought her some relief from itching, and also helped to dry out some of the weeping that had begun. She has used it the same day as doing some gardening, and said she will always keep it on hand now.
