I'm clumsy and accidentally burn myself on the oven now and then and this is the best thing ever to have around to make the pain go away and help heal the burn. Also, if you get nosebleeds this stuff is absolutely magical! I get them and they tend to last a while but if I can rub some of this inside my nostril it seems to get the bleeding stopped. I keep a container on me at all times for this reason. If you have a bruise this will help as well. I stumbled upon this stuff about 10 years ago when it was part of the Wise Woman line of Burt's Bees and have used it ever since. If I could buy it in a huge bucket I would! But I guess the smaller container is handy----and can be taken on the plane!

I am not sure who has written the overly positive reviews for this product which all sound suspiciously the same by the way...the claims that the product helps with cuts, quick fix-it for pimples, light bruises are simply untrue. The product is ineffective and did absolutely nothing for me. I tried it for all of the above. It has a hefty price tag for what it is and what it does, and the Burts Bee brand may be selling it but does not justify the price tag. The only thing it was helpful with is to moisturize the cuticles (temporarily, for a few hours) - but that could be done by any other cream and moisturizing hand product. Overall, disappointed.

This is absolutely wonderful for chapped lips. Even severely chapped lips are helped. Also works great to help heal scrapes and "road rash" from skinned knees and elbows. My kids love it. They call it "The Ointment"
