After off and cutter's left me all bit up, this one kept me bite-free!

if you sprayed this all over your body, you wouldn't be able to stand the citronella smell - I just squirt a little in the palms of my hand and use sparingly like lotion - it does work but I am not a fan of the smell

My friend used this spray in South America and it worked beautifully, when we went to Africa she brought it and I never got bit once by a mosquito. It is a bit greasy but I like that it's non-toxic and I preferred the smell over the 100% DEET that I had brought, I ended up using this the whole time.

i sit out on my back patio in the evening and don't enjoy feeding the mosquitoes. the smell is so strong, it is overwhelming.

i have super sensitive fair skin...which must be like prime rib to bugs because i got bit up both times i applied the replant. the first time i applied it was at the beach and the second time was in the Adirondack mountains and i still was feasted on :(

We live in the tropics, where we have a terrible mosquito problem. We have to apply a bug product daily, and I am always looking for something non-toxic. Burts Bees is a great product that works well, but it is so incredibly greasy that it is impossible to use unless you are just sitting in your back yard. It gets all over your clothes too, so you really can't go out with it on.

Bear in mind, not all mosquitoes are the same, but most of the time and after having lived on 5 continents, especially mozzie-infected Australia, this one has worked the best out of all the non-toxic brands. You can slap it on the kids without guilt and it works for the night or for the pic-nic at the beach. A bit greasy due to the essential oils, very strong lemongrass smell (we like it but you may not). I've used it for the last 10 yrs. Can't live without it.

I loved the yellow label Burt's Bees Insect Repellent the first time I used it. I actually rub it on my dog's bed to prevent fleas. I also use it on my kids and myself when I got out to do my gardening. I love the smell. However, when I went online to order several more bottles what I received was the green label Herbal Insect Repellant. The difference in ingredients is very small, but the scent of the product changes quite a bit. The yellow label includes Wintergreen oil that really makes the scent refreshing, almost lovely. I recently had a friend come over with her daughter and both commented on how good my house smelled. I had just rubbed the yellow label repellent on the dog's bed. My mother wants to buy some to use as an occasional air freshener in her home. Had I received more of the yellow label repellent (as is pictured on the website) I would have given this product a 5 STAR Rating.

This is a wonderful product - I can take my dogs into the woods all summer, and the insects take one whiff and leave. Even those pesky flies that like to land on dogs and people. I put a little around my dogs heads before we go out, and they are also fly-free! It's totally natural - no chemicals - smells great AND is most effective. Same thing in the garden - I don't worry much about ticks - put it on my shoes and ankles when I am digging in the garden, or raking leaves in the fall. Don't just buy it for yourself - get some for your children and grandchildren - it's wonderful stuff!
