Great, if you want to stink

I bought this because I was going away for a long weekend, and outdoors-y type activities were planned. I thought the products in this kit may come in handy. I realize they are travel sizes, and are small. Well, it wasn't cheap ([$]) and I don't want to use anything in it because EVERY item stinks (literally, smells FOUL). Maybe it was the Poison Ivy soap that stank so bad that everything in the kit picked up it's smell. I used the Rosemary Mint soap and ended up stinking like a cat's flea collar. I have been using only the lip balm, so I pretty much paid [$] for stinky lip balm.

This is a great little introduction to Burt's Bees products, and natural body care products in general. None of the products are harsh on your skin or hair, and all of them work wonders, especially the Res-Q ointment. I get little cuts and bruises all the time, and it made a noticeable difference in healing times. It makes a great gift for anyone, especially gardeners and teens.

I think this kit is really good. It is great for those who want to try Burt's Bees products without having to buy the full sizes and lose money because you don't like it. I only wish that it would include everything. The Shampoo was good - a bit minty smelling, but good. The Herbal Blemish Stick worked well. I love the Lifeguard Lip Balm; works great for keeping lips smooth. The Toothpaste was different. I am still getting used to it and I might consider switching from Aquafresh. The Res-Q ointment was great; I believe it helped with cuts and I will continue to use it. The Salts were great and I am definitely getting those again. It's also a little weird to get used to the Shampoo Bar, since I am so used to liquid shampoos. I need a conditioner too, but it did clean well. I didn't use the Poison Ivy soap, but I am keeping it around in case.

I love this kit. Burt's Bees has great products and you really get you money's worth. One warning, the chapstick goes on white. It caught me a little by surprise, but I put it on before I go to bed so it works out okay.

I really like the items in this kit, especially the blemish stick (I would give it 5 stars on its own). I tried the poison ivy soap for itchy winter skin, and it really did help. The hand salve is great (I've used it before), and the bath crystals are wonderful. I haven't tried the insect repellant as it's winter and there are no bugs to repel, but the smell repelled my husband, so it should work for the average mosquito, no? The only item I didn't like was the toothpaste. It was very chalky and didn't rinse out very well, but the taste wasn't bad. If you just want to avoid fluoride toothpaste, it's better than some of the other all-natural toothpastes that I've tried. All in all, this kit is great, and I would highly recommend this as a gift to anyone who spends time outdoors.

I tried everything in the Natural Remedy Kit. It is just awful. The lip balm burns the heck out of you. Everything else in the kit was just as bad. I would not touch this stuff again. It's ineffective, smells awful, and is painful.

This is a nice little kit. My favorite products were the Lifeguard's Choice Weatherproofing Lip Balm (nice peppermint scent) and the Hand Salve. The Gardener's Soap was nice to use after handling my tomato plants. Fortunately, I wasn't able to test the effectiveness of the Poison Ivy Soap. The Lemongrass Insect Lotion and Porch Incense have their own unique scent that takes a little getting used to, but I think they're neat products. I would recommend these products to my friends.

The products in this kit are great. The porch incense and insect lotion both work really well. The scent of the hand salve, gardener's soap, and lip balm is really nice. Thankfully, I didn't need to use the Poison Ivy Soap!! Overall, this is a great product.
