Note: Murphy Oil Soap should not be used on unfinished, unsealed or waxed wood surfaces because they may be water sensitive. Before using on an unknown surface, test on an inconspicuous area. Dulling or discoloration indicates the wood may be waxed or needs refinishing. If product contacts eye, rinse thoroughly with water. If swallowed, drink a glass of water to dilute. Keep out of reach of children. Due to formula differences, do not use as refill for Murphy's Spray or Squirt & Mop.

So, six years ago, my hubby and I bought a home with treated wood floors. I wasn't told how to care for them, and have tried everything under the sun to clean them. Everything I tried, put a dingy haze on the floors, and made them look worse than if I had left them alone. I tried Murphy Oil soap at the behest of my mother-in- law. Lo and behold, my floors look brand new! They are clean, they shine, and it is so economical. Only a quarter cup per gallon of water. In between, I use Bona to keep them I check. I am finally happy and proud of my floors. :)
Floors (Finished Wood, Laminate, No-Wax and Tile): Dilute 1/4 cup Murphy's or, for heavy cleaning, dilute 1/2 cup Murphy's in 1 gallon of warm water. Concentrate makes up to 16 gallons; clean with well wrung-out mop, and mop up any excess water. No rinsing required. Other Surfaces (Finished Wood, Furniture, Cabinets and Paneling): Wet cloth with diluted Murphy's liquid Wipe clean to reveal wood's natural beauty!
