This is one of those tools that nothing else in the kitchen can compete with if your goal is to remove a slippery avocado pit in 2 seconds and extract sliced avocado flesh from the skin. It's not nearly as messy as using a knife & spoon(s) and it's as safe a design as possible for the chore, which makes it possible for younger "chefs" in the kitchen to help (supervised, of course). I wasn't sure if the plastic blade would be strong or sharp enough, but it's fine for the job and the pit remover is priceless. I'm ordering a second one for my adult daughter. I haven't had it long so I can't attest to its durability, but for the price I'm sure I'd order another one if it lasts 6 months or longer.

This thing is da bomb. You just grab an avocado, slice it over with the blade, pull out the pit with the remover, and the scoop/slice with the slicer and BOOM, you're done.
Seriously, I make guacamole in 5 minutes with this.
