I love Neutrogena -- that's what I use for my face -- but this wasn't working for me. I used to have only about 4 red dots, then I tried this and all of a sudden I have red dots all over (even on my arms, which I never get any more). So I bought this product to use on those two areas. I found that it was NOT super-effective at removing oil, so I started using more and scrubbing harder and for a longer time. Now it keeps oil away for almost 24 hours. As for my butt, no more breakouts have occurred, but then again, I have only been using this for 2 weeks. All in all, not very strong, but an ok body wash. If your body acne is moderate to severe, you definitely need a separate salicylic acid treatment in addition to this. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

If I notice one or two breakouts here and there, nothing big, it could have been irritation from other soaps I was using. Anyway, thinking it was acne, I purchased Neutrogena Body wash and it worked for the first day. The second day I used it, disaster struck. I really like it because it's not as thick as the other one. Cleared my back acne pretty well! Especially the small ones. I do still get big pimples once in a while. Keep in mind that I do have a very oily back and I use it only every other day. We started breaking out, so we switched to Neutrogena Body Clear. It works wonderfully. Our skin feels clean; whereas the body wash we were previously using left a filmy feel. This product began working nicely. I continued to use it consistently...suddenly after about a month and a half, my chest and back got WORSE. My chest developed all these embarrassing tiny bumps and pimples and my back looked worse than ever! What a shame. It really did work initially. Too bad it ended up being a dud.
