I bought this for my husband. He has been using it for about 10 years. He likes the lather and thinks it keeps the dandruff at bay. The smell is strong, but you get used to it, and it definitely doesn't stay on your hair, because I don't smell it on his hair. Good healthy ingredients. I use a thinning hair product, otherwise I would use it, and actually have used it when I ran out of my shampoo. It is not harsh at all.

Some people say it doesnt lather, the lather isnt what cleans your hair, the chemicals that make lather is what is wrong with most shampoo. I have had an itchy scalp for 25+ years and after trying EVERY type of dandruff and itchy scalp shampoo available I pretty much gave up. I came across this stuff while purchasing something else on this website and figured it couldnt be any worse than everything else I have tried. Much to my surprise it worked better than everything else put together. I have a crew-cut so I cant comment on how it would work for someone that styles their hair but it works great for me.

This current incarnation of the JASON tea-tree scalp normalizing shampoo lathers a little bit betetr than its predecessors, but that isn't its main attraction. I have a very sensitive scalp and all other so-called "natural" products irritate it terribly. This shampoo is the only one so far that doesn't cause me severe dandruff. I would recommend you try this Shampoo first if you have sensitive skin.

My husband and I like tea tree oil products, but also wanted something gentle and natural ("normalizing" hooked us). We both use the product and love it. It helps the itchy scalp problems, and makes our hair look great. We both have "silvery" hair that can look kind of dull, but this shampoo gives it alot of shine. I've searched for years for products to make my hair shiny without weight or oiliness, and this is it!

The description of this product states that it contains no Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate, which is only partially true. It contains a very similar and equally irritating compund called Sodium Myreth Sulfate. Jason may not be lying, but they are telling a deliberate half-truth. Moreover, it does not clean well at all. I washed and rinsed three times and still came up with greasy hair.

Thoroughly wet hair. Always do a quick light-lathering shampoo first. Rinse and follow with a second super-lathering ot thoroughly remove stubborn oils and excess daily dirt and debris. Follow with Jason's Tea Tree Scalp Normalizing Conditioner.
