Jason Natural Cosmetics Shampoo, Thin-To-Thick Hair & Scalp Therapy rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 33 customer reviews.Worst shampoo I ever used
by LATHGRL[Verified Reviewer] in CA on 11/11/09
Pros: Cleans Thoroughly
Cons: Dries Hair Out, Harsh, Smells Bad
Describe Yourself: Product Junkie
Best Uses: Oily Hair
Hair Type: Straight Hair
Bottom Line: not recommended
I bought this shampoo because it was supposedly natural. I was surprised the fragrance was so strong and smelled like cheap perfume. It also stripped the moisture of the hair and left the hair very very dry and stray. I have hair very straight shiny healthy hair and usually never have any problem. Normally I can use any shampoo without very different results but this shampoo is the worst I ever tried.

Pros: Cleans Thoroughly, Improves Hair Health, Lathers Well
Describe Yourself: Minimalist
Bottom Line: recommended
Having African-American hair, I am very cautious about the products that I use in my hair. I originally bought the product for a friend who swears by it, but was unable to order the product in the country she is now living in. So, I shipped a special care package to her, and bought a bottle of conditioner and shampoo for myself. I lathered my hair first time around, and I don't think my hair was damp enough. So, I proceeded to my second go around and had a "rich" lather which was very refreshing. I followed with the conditioner and rinse. While looking at my hair in the mirror before drying it just looked clean. My hair also felt lighter. I blow-dryed as usual and my hair got a little tangled which has never happened, but after applying my regular products to my hair, I could not stop combing it. It was unbelievable how soft, manageable, and clean my hair feels and looks. I also noticed that my hair did not break off in my comb which it usually starts to do in the dry fall/winter months. A lot of people mention that the product doesn't lather- you may not have enough water on your hair. I wasn't impressed with my first lather either, but I paid [$] on a bottle of shampoo- it better do tricks! :)

Pros: Adds Shine, Cleans Thoroughly, Improves Hair Health, Lathers Well
Cons: Smells Bad
Describe Yourself: Minimalist
Best Uses: Thinner Hair
Hair Type: Straight Hair
Bottom Line: recommended
This product really does what it claims to do and is more natural than some other brands. It does not make my hair greasy after the 1st day (I wash my hair every other day). It really does make my fine hair seem thicker. I gave it 4/5 stars because I don't particularly care for the medicinal smell but I figure that's better than adding synthetic and possibly toxic perfumes just to make a product smell good....otherwise I recommend it.

by Abs[Verified Buyer] in Wintersville PA on 11/11/08
Pros: High Quality
Cons: Expensive

With hair as fine as cobwebs, this product added body; after several days use, my hair was noticeably thicker. Because it is pricey I probably will not continue purchasing it.
