I went back to using this shampoo after many years of trying others that just did not keep my hair tamed from the frizzies. This works! And, although the smell is not the greatest, the reasonable price and effectiveness definitely compensates!

the new formula is the opposite of old one as you can see from my many cons above. i ordered 3 of them and hate the product. makes my oily, thick, long, layered, wavy, fine textured hair one big GREASY, LIMP, FLYAWAY MESS. this mite be ok for very dry hair but not oily. my one fave shampoo is mane n tail minus the conditioner...thats a great 1 for oily hair.

I've tried more expensive or "glamorous" brands, but none of them leave my hair looking better than this classic. My hair is very fine and tends to go all over the place. Pert Plus keeps it looking soft, shiny, and smooth. Perfect.

Pert Plus is one of the best shampoos I have ever tried. For some reason,I always seem to switch to another brand of shampoo once the bottle of Pert Plus is gone, and I always find myself going right back to the Pert again. I love the smell and the fact that I can use one product instead of two and the formula leaves my hair clean and shiny with no buildup, oily or heavy feeling, etc. I will continue to use Pert,
and I rate this product A+.

I believe that Pert Plus was the first shampoo + conditioner in one, and here's the story:
It's the best. I've used it since 1989. Great, fresh scent. It leaves hair shiny and squeaky clean, yet conditions very nicely. I usually use a separate conditioner, but this works great, saving time and money. Leaves hair looking healthy and bouncy.
