I normally try to use "green" products with ingredients that are better for the environment, but I just have had no luck with natural dandruff shampoos, many of which have left my scalp itchy with sores. Pert 2 in 1 controls my dandruff, but also does not dry and frizz out my hair and cause noticeable increases in new grays like many other conventional/drugstore dandruff shampoos do. My hair type is long, thick, and dark. I use this every couple of days, and often follow with an additional (natural brand) conditioner to help further reduce frizz (but this can be used alone if rushed for time). I've been using this for over 6 months and I get many compliments that I have beautiful, healthy-looking hair. My boyfriend tried this and did not think it was effective for his dandruff, he prefers Pantene or Head and Shoulders, which I do not like as much. I guess we just have to find what works for us. I will keep buying this.

I was hoping it would get rid of dandruff completely. It needs improvement.

I have been trying different product to combat dandruff and itching. I used this product for about 3 months now, it was working okay in the first couple of weeks but that was it. It has not done much to my dandruff but it definitely worsened my scalp itching. Now my hair is dry, coarse, flaky and my scalp is even more irritated, thanks you Pert Plus!

Have been using more serious dandruff shampoos and finally read around the internet that Pyrithione Zinc would probably work well with a conditioner. After two treatments, a very noticeable difference.

Sometime in the 1980s, shampoos were blind-tested, and Pert was the winner in terms of how the hair looked and felt. I have used Pert ever since. It's just an excellent shampoo and has a most refreshing fragrance.
