I tested this product earlier today for the first time, and I was skeptical but hopeful. If you sniff the cap, the shampoo does not have much of a smell- slightly perfumey- but nothing overpowering. When I put it in my hair, however, the scent was incredibly fruity and not in a good way. The consistency is very creamy, and it produces a nice, creamy lather. I have very tight coils, and this shampoo is the first drugstore shampoo I have tried in a while that did not dry my hair out at all. However, it didn't impart moisture either, so nothing amazing there. I followed with the accompanying conditioner, which did not transform my hair at all. The shampoo was mediocre the only pro being that it didn't dry my hair out, and the conditioner did not make a difference in my hair from the time I put it on to the time I rinsed it out. I looked at the ingredients again, and I think I know why it was so ehh. Although the system has some great ingredients, I believe it is too diluted by thickeners and scent additives. I'd rather the majority of the ingredients in my products to serve a conditioning/strengthening purpose. The formula could be bolstered by the removal of those and the addition of moisturizing oils to make it top notch. I may try mixing the system with olive oil, but overall I would not recommend. Great example of the superiority of professional brands

I had seen the commercial for this product so I really wanted to try it. My hair was dull, straw feeling and frizzy. As soon as it started lathering up in my hair I loved the way it made my hair feel, soft and manageable. My hair has shine and I can actually run my fingers through my hair. I actually can't stop running my fingers through my hair, it just feels amazing. I have noticed a few more flakes then I usually do, but not to many. Over all this product has brought beauty back to my hair.

I used this product as a sample at the gym which is where I sample all hair products a few days prior to a hair cut and color in case the product doesn't work well. I liked how it lathered but what I really liked was after blow dried my hair out - it actually had a shine and bounce! This was 6 weeks after the last cut and color. I usually use samples at the gym so I can just throw out the packets and it doesn't take much room in my gym bag. But I always wait until right before my next hair appt. I was so impressed with this that I put it on my List. I don't recall being as impressed with a sample product. I am going to use it earlier - maybe half way through my new hairdo. I usually alternate between 2 higher priced shampoos. Now this is going to be the new alternate. Does the job AND saves me money - now that's a great product!

This shampoo does seem to strengthen and moisturize somewhat, but does nothing to add body. In addition, you have to be careful that it doesn't get in your eyes, because it is harsh enough to sting if that happens. All in all, it's a decent strengthening shampoo, but not the best all-around shampoo I've ever used.

First tried this shampoo, conditioner, and balm as samples. I have normal hair in good condition. These products, singly or together, increase the shine, bounce, and softness. None of them makes my hair oily. I sometimes use the conditioner or balm to get a smoother look.

I had been looking for a shampoo to help my dry at the bottom/easily greasy at the top, fine, fluffy, tangley hair. Really I have some challenging issues. This shampoo helped improve the look and feel of the dry part, didn't overly oil the top part, helped smooth the frizz, and it overall is voluminous and thicker. I will buy it again. Did not get conditioner

I bought this, I must say, because Lea Michele is the spokesmodel for it but compared to how the Loreal Vive was with my heavy, easily oily hair, it worked amazing and it didn't make it greasy like most products. I would DEFINTELY reccommend this to anyone with thick heavy hair that hates their hair getting greasy after just one day.

I bought the Shampoo, the conditioner and the hair mask. It is awesome! Love this shamnpoo. I do not need alot to cleanse my hair, I do not have to cleanse two or three times to get the benefit of it either. It is very gentle but does the job. I like the smell too. Its not overpowering as shampoos often are. Highly recommend this product!
