At first I was so excited to try out this new L'Oreal product. Before switching over to this shampoo I used the L'Oreal Advanced Hair Care Total Repair 5. That one did nothing for my hair, so I decided to switch over to this one because my hair tends to be more on the frizzy side. At first I loved that the shampoo wasn't a cream, so it lathered really nice and gave my hair that nice clean feeling. I loved the conditioner, it left my hair feeling very manageable! After a few uses though, this shampoo started drying my hair out like crazy! IT DID NOTHING FOR MY FRIZZY HAIR! I know its the shampoo because when i started using it I had my hair cut a few inches shorter! My hair felt absolutely awful and straw-like! I decided to read the ingredients in the back and of course...SULFATE (that should have been expected since its a big name brand). After a few more uses, even the conditioner started doing nothing for my hair. I had to let this product go.

I was very excited to try this new line from L'Oreal. I bought the Smooth Intense shampoo and conditioner. They work fine to clean and smooth my hair, but this is not Kerastase (also owned by L'Oreal) being sold at bargain prices. (Often times huge corporations like L'Oreal that own multiple brands will share technologies across their brands.) L'Oreal usually does a good job with the fragrances in their hair care, but I wasn't crazy about this one. It's almost like they're trying to play in the Garnier (another of their brands) territory yet mimic archrival Pantene so it's this hybrid of both that doesn't quite work. The price was fair and I will use up the products, but I won't be rushing to buy them again.
