I like this serum... it's more like a milk. But I suppose they call it a serum because it is very concentrated. The Vit C concentration is the reason I bought this serum as opposed to the hundreds of others out there. And it's ingredients are natural rather than synthetic. I would give it 5 stars but it's not a miracle product, though it does improve clarity and makes your skin very soft, it won't get rid of your wrinkles or age spots quickly - over time it will help. I have very oil and acne prone skin and it's been a great addition to my skin care regimen. It's an *excellent* moisturizer for me - not too greasy, but emollient, gentle and very noursishing. It is a bit pricey for such a small bottle but overall, I really like it. I'm going to buy my second bottle today.

I used to love Avalon Organics and used their shampoo, body lotion and all kinds of facial stuff. HOWEVER recently they changed the formula on everything and taken out all the good ingredients filling the new formula with total bad stuff. Every moisturizer or serum now has the same ingredients; doesn't matter if it is the Lavender line or Vitamin C line. The result is horrible. It is too greasy, it stinks and does absolutely nothing for my face; like it used to. I d/c buying almost everything from Avalon Organics and am now looking for a new organic skin care, shampoo and body lotion company. Avalon organics is currently ripping off it's own customers and they will soon see a major drop in sales. Customers are not dumb.
This product really works! I use it morning and night.

I use it in the morning waiting a few minutes before I apply my moisturizer. In the evening after washing my face, I apply just before bedtime. It has filled in small wrinkles on my cheeks and at the lip corners.

I used to use this product when it smelled great and worked wonders on my sensitive skin. The new formula is a smelly, greasy mess that makes me break out. I was very unhappy with this product. Change it back, Avalon Organics!!!

I have used this product before, and loved the clean citrus scent, the ingredients list. I recently re-ordered 2 bottles, and noticed an awful scent. I then checked the ingredients list and discovered it has Sodium Benzoate - an ingredient which when combined with ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) creates Benzene, a known carcinogen. Even if it forms Benzene in small amounts, do you really want to put that on your face?!
I am very disappointed in Avalon Organics, and Drugstore.com lists the old ingredients list, as well as the old packaging. The "new and improved" formula is not improved at all, and the scent is the first thing you'll notice.

I have previously used the Vitamin C serum and loved it; I re-ordered in July after running out and the new formulation (in new packaging with the same product name) is much too sticky, greasy and smells weird. I may just be used to what it was before, but I want to throw this out and now I can't be refunded since I've already opened it. Disappointed.

The first week I tried this line my skin got a little red, but that happens frequently when I change skin care regimen. Now, I can't imagine using anything else - and I feel like I've tried them all. The system has just the right amount of moisturizer and I see noticable improvement around the skin near my eyes.

Love this product and I am a beauty junkie (all organic and eco-friendly of course!) But this is one that I have used for years and continue to buy over and over again. I try other similar products but always go back to this one.
It's easy to put on, absorbs quickly, and works well under a moisturizer before putting on makeup. I use it in the morning because Vitamin C is a natural sunblock.
I have sensitive normal/combo skin and this product never irritates. Highly recommended!
