I didn't even use them so I can't comment of how well they actually work, but all of the tampons in the box were loose cotton jst pressed together in a tampon shape. They fell apart when touched. They shredded easily like a regular cotton ball. I will not use them because the fibers will ultimately come off and get lodged/stuck to your vaginal wall, which can cause infections if not removed. I've used other bands of natural tampons that do not have this same problem.

These are super comfy, but the biggest plus is that they are ORGANIC! With smart packaging and no applicator there's very little waste.Make sure to wash your hands before application!!!

This is a bit personal but look at what I am reviewing! :)

I used to have a slight burning for the first 45 minutes after inserting any name brand tampons (and I had tried several brands)... I never knew why and would always try to not use tampons because of it. I read about these and decided to try them out. NO BURNING. I'm sold! Never going back to name brand! Also, for all you eco-friendly gals, a plus that there is no plastic!

They are the most comfortable tampon I have ever used! And I love knowing that there are no chemicals in something that is in such close proximity to such a sensitive area of my body.

I like knowing that Natracare organic tampons aren't leeching pesticides into my body. They are easy to use. Their only drawback is that they are slightly less absorbent than mainstream tampons. I'm willing to trade that for a product I can feel safer using.

I have used OB tampons, and these are very similar. The texture is a little firmer, but they are very similar to use. My only issue at all was that the thin plastic wrapper was difficult to get started to unwrap. A very minor issue, but annoying when you are in a hurry in the morning. Otherwise, they are perfect. I felt like the absorbancy was similar to other products, and they are the same as far as inserting and removing. And I feel better knowing there are less chemicals involved in processing, and in my body.

I decided to try these since I am making the switch to all natural and organic things as much as possible. This switch was a no-brainer because, for me, these are much, much better than regular tampons. I had no idea the ones I was using were causing me such discomfort and irritation; organic cotton makes all the difference in the world. This was my first experience with non-applicator tampons, and I was very pleased. It was easy, and it creates less waste. These are tiny because there is no applicator bulk; a box of 10 is smaller than a bar of soap, and I can fit the whole pack in a zip pocket in my purse. I liked that these expanded horizontally instead of lengthwise; it felt like it was really protecting me. They were effective and made my period much more pleasant. Also, a box of 10 lasted my entire period (3-4 days). These are great for a light to medium flow. Not sure how ladies with heavier flows would fare, but they do make super and super plus. I will definitely be buying more of these!

I have been using this brand for a while and I love that they are made from unbleached, organic cotton. I believe that the bleach and petro chemicals manufacturers use to produce feminine hygiene products is a major contributor to cancer.

I thought these were the applicator type but when they arrived, OH NOES! However I gritted my teeth and used them and I after resisting applicator-less tampons all these years, I am so glad i tried them!
They are easy to carry, easy to insert, easy to dispose of and no extra waste!

I am trying to have less waste output in my daily life and tossing applicators is definitely a waste.
