As someone mentioned above, they didn't expand to meet my needs and because of this, I didn't get the protection I wished they would have provided. I definitely like the organic aspect, but I would go with the Maxim organic Super Plus tampons if expansion and protection are a must for you on a heavy flow day. You have to sort of fan out the bottom of the tampon by pulling the string in wide circles. This helps. Also, you can't expect to wear this all day for a heavier day....For heavier days, you probably have to change them every 4-5 hours.... After only one hour I was leaking and when I took it out it was only half used. Please do not expand to offer full coverage. Use another brand of organic cotton applicator free tampons. This method works for me, and because I use them everyday, I am happy to find they have no chemicals and are organic. They are easy to insert and easy to remove. I previously used OB tampons and would have terrible migraine during every cycle. I like the fact that these tampons are organic and don't use any nasty chemicals. I don't see any difference in absorbancy or feel compared to the same (Super) size of O.B.
