The mixed reviews made me hesitant to purchase. I found it elsewhere at 1/2 off and felt it was a better gamble. Works great! Don't need to tip back. Water comes right up the straw easily. Made definite difference in/improvement of the taste of the water. Will help me consume more water daily without icky tasting water or spending money on wasteful bottle water.

I love the filtering process of this water bottle. I can take it instead of purchased water. However, once I changed the filter, it makes a terrible sound when drinking. Very loud and disturbs everyone. I still use it, but wish it didn't make that sound.

A coworker was raving about this bottle. I couldn't find it in stores, so I purchased it here, so far I love it. I was skeptical at first, but I think it's going to fit perfect into my daily life. Great taste and easy to use. I would just suggest new colors/patterns (limited choices:I didn't want to get one similar to my coworker's to avoid confusion)

I'm so sorry to hear that other people are having problems w/ the new Brita water bottles. Personally, I purchased 4 of these for my family several months ago (my family is very active w/ soccer, etc). I waited months to post a comment as I wanted to see how well these held up w/ my teenagers/sports,& myself. I have to say we are ALL very impressed, including my husband who's really picky. When you first start drinking, you do hear a sound, but it eventually goes away. I'm assuming it's just the water initially flowing through. I love that it's a hard water bottle (unlike there previous ones that you squeeze....those were a mess & we did not like those). Another plus that we all have really enjoyed about these new Brita water bottles is that when you are drinking water, you actually get quite a bit, and find yourself drinking more water during the day than usual, which is a HUGE plus. One recommendation that my family & I would like to make to Brita is to have more patterns to these (with perhaps Soccer Balls or other sports, & other themes, perhaps something that relates to dentistry, firefighting, airplanes, my daughter says "neon colors", etc. Other than that, we really do like these water bottles, and I'm so happy I purchased these. Yes, it was pricey in the beginning for us purchasing 4 bottles, and extra filters, but in the long run, we have been very pleased. I hope that helps in your decision.

What a total waste of good money!! Set everything up, added water and can't drink from the bottle. What good is a filtering bottle with a straw that does not work??? I have a big water pitcher, wanted this so I could have filtered water while traveling and not have to buy bottled water but since it does not work, I am back to square #1

Regrettably, I can barely sip water from this bottle. The Britta filter that attaches to the mouth piece barely lets any water get through for you to drink. I wasted my money on buying extra filters and spent too much money on a water bottle that doesn't let me drink out of it.
Replace water filter every 216 refills, 2 months or 40 gallons. When replacing the filter, look for item number 60258 35818 — the black Brita Bottle Replacement Filters. For first time use, rinse filter under running water for 15 seconds to activate. Drop in replacement filter and press down firmly until filter is flush with straw. Reattach filter. Fill water filter bottle with water, screw on lid, then sip and enjoy. Substances reduced may not be in all users' water.
