What is tough about these is the adhesive. Really stick on itself when around fingers and toes. On hands, with softer skin seems to leave a residue of adhesive. So I would use it mostly where it is going to be wrapped around itself or on legs or other places with thicker skin.

My favorite band-aid. I thoroughly clean the area, wash off the oils from my skin and any lotions, thoroughly dry the area, apply a little salve, I apply a little from the tube directly to the sterile bandage, this way my finger does not touch the tube or the cut, plus I avoid over applying salve, over apply salve and a bandaid will slip right off, then I apply the tough strip. These stick better than other band-aids, though I have yet to find a brand that sticks better than band-aid in general. I hike regularly, boots rub and packs rub, nothing sticks like these. On areas that rub, I like to apply a tough strip, then a bit of moleskin over top of the tough strip, enough moleskin to really cover the bandaid, about 1/2"-1" of moleskin touching skin, holds like nothing Ive ever tried, they are a very similar material. I love that they are only sticky on 2 sides, versus the typical 4, so you can line them up. I have nothing bad to say about these, well they are a little pain to get off, but I prefer that to not sticking. Alcohol will break down the glue, but be careful with it around a cut.
