This didn't absorb into my curls at all. I got some curl definition, but for the most part, I got dull, lifeless, fly-away hair, which is how it looks naturally. Maybe this would work better layered with another product. It worked best on wet hair. The cream did not work at all on dry hair. My hair just felt greasy.

This curl cream is fabulous! I have medium long, curly, but fine hair, so too many curl creams end up weighing my curls down. Desert Essence does not. My curls are defined and controlled but soft and bouncy. I love this stuff. And the fragrance is refreshing, makes me feel like I'm in a spa on the beach. It's not over-powering though, you have to be up close to notice it on my hair... which is also nice.

I have to echo the other reviews here - this stuff is wonderful. I, also, am trying to switch to more natural products, but I have finicky curly hair and was reluctant to give up my salon curl creams. I tried two before this one that weren't great, but this one is PERFECT. I don't even have to use a hairspray on top of it. It controls my curls well and leaves my hair soft. I have very curly hair, and this stuff rocks! TRY IT!

I don't actually have curly hair, but it is wavy. I have used it on both wet and dry hair and love it. It creates a soft yet piece-y look. It doesn't leave any crunchy feeling behind. I love the smell too!

For years I have used a curl lotion by Marc Anthony and have never thought to change. In a recent move towards more natural products, I purchased the Desert Essence Soft Curl Cream. I immediately noticed a difference in the definition of my curls. I love that hours later there is still a slight yummy coconut smell. Also, I love that a little of this product goes a long way. Despite my having very long and very thick hair, I only need to use a quarter size amount.
