I don't know if I may have just gotten a bad tub, but this stuff has THE weirdest texture. It's really thick, but in the same way gelatin would feel. If you stick your hands in it, you literally break the surface. Applying it smoothes it out a bit and it spreads evenly. BUT the weird thing is, a little while, I scratched an itch on my leg and noticed the body butter almost flaking off? Like it never actually sank into my skin, but just sort of set as a film over it that could be rubbed off. It's hard to explain, but it was just odd. The smell is light and pleasant, and it does the job, I suppose, so I'll finish it up; but I definitely wouldn't buy this again, even if it was a great price.

I love this body butter! I have tried other Champney products before after I discovered them. My fiance's aunt gave me a mini version of this one for Christmas as part of a gift set containing other Champney products, and I instantly fell in love. I love how it smells! Butters are perfect after a bath or shower but I learned is best is your body is not 100% dry. It will be easier to evenly apply, and not end up covered in a thick paste ;). I'm so happy this product can be found here in the states! Ordering the big tub right now!
