I take fermented cod liver oil capsules and have no problem swallowing them.

But this collagen was the most foul and repulsive thing I've ever put in my mouth and swallowed. I gagged as I swallowed it and nearly threw up. I actually screamed and almost cried.

Collagen need to be absorbed by the skin in order to be effective and this is absorbed into the bloodstream, therefore not benefiting skin. It might help with joints, but not worth it for me.
