Comments about Walgreens Sterile Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaning & Disinfecting Lens Care System, 2 ea:
I have read how other people didn't like the contact carrier that comes with the cleaning system but remember that it is only a temporary, throw away carrier. It isn't meant to last and for that, they work just fine. I throw it away when I start using a new bottle of the cleaning solution. For me, this works just like the more expensive version. Cost effective which for daily use is perfect!

Yeah, the lens case that comes with this is pretty much useless, so I, too, use the case that comes with the brand name product, and it seems to work fine with this solution. Every now and then I do get a little stinging irritation when I put in my lenses, but most days it's fine. This product offers a significant savings over the brand name, so I'm glad it's available.

I, too, bought this kit because it was half off what the name brand is now going for. I found this case for the lens to be poorly designed for use and effectiveness. That said, the solution itself works just as well as the more expensive stuff, so my fix was to use the lens case from the brand name with the solution from this brand. Problem solved!
Comments about Walgreens Sterile Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaning & Disinfecting Lens Care System, 2 ea:
I bought this kit on sale because it was half off what the name brand was going for. BIG MISTAKE. First off, I wear 2 week lenses - I've been using the name brand Hydrogen Peroxide system for about 2 years with NO PROBLEM. For some reason, this kit doesn't clean as well as the name brand. In the morning, there's still a bunch of gunk on my lenses, and it stings like crazy when I put it into my eye. I always have to rinse my lenses off with saline in the morning. I think this mainly has to do with the fact that the little disk is located IN the case instead of at the bottom of the little contraption that holds the contact lenses.
Always wash and rinse your hands before handling your lenses. This will help to prevent eye infection by removing dirt and oils that could get on the lenses. Use only the solution recommended by your eye care practitioner. Seek advice from your eye care practitioner before making any changes to your care regimen to ensure compatibility with lenses. Always follow the directions for use in the labeling included with the solution. To open bottle, turn cap counterclockwise. the cap has a tamper evident ring that breaks when it is turned counterclockwise. Replace cap after use. To obtain cleaning and disinfection the following steps must be completed. Wash, rinse and dry your hands thoroughly before handling your lenses. Thoroughly rinse each side of your right lens for 5 seconds with fresh Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaning and Disinfecting Solution. Open the basket of your barrel case marked 'R' and place you right lens on the dome of the central holder. Ensure the lens does not overlap with the spokes of the holder and does not become pinched when the basket is closed. Close the basket. Repeat the rinsing step with your left lens and place it in the other basket marked with a heart. Only use lens case containing the platinum disc neutralizer when using Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaning and Disinfecting Lens Care System. Fill the barrel case up to the marked line with your Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaning and Disinfecting Solution. Do not over fill the lens case. It is important that you do not pour your Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaning and Disinfecting Solution into the barrel case until your lenses have been placed in each basket. This will ensure that the neutralization process does not begin before the lenses are immersed in solution. Place the lens holder into the barrel case and close securely. Important: Do not over tighten the lens case cap. Allow your lenses to soak for at least 6 hours overnight ensuring that the barrel case is in an upright position and that the lenses are fully immersed in the Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaning and Disinfecting Solution. Do not shake/invert the lens case during the disinfection process. After a period of at least 6 hours, your lenses may be removed from the barrel case and worn. Always discard the remaining solution from the barrel case. Rinse the barrel case thoroughly with un-reserved sterile saline and leave it open to air dry.
