My husband uses this shampoo exclusively. Before choosing it, he did a long research on all hair products and found out that it works the best from the hair fallout. Since he started using it, which is several years ago, he has less hair fallout and it looks like the receding spot has slightly improved. Do not expect miracles when buying it and thinking that all the hair will grow back. It probably won't. At least not for my huz. But it should slow hair loss and improve the texture and look. And, yes, it is pretty pricey. But he won't budge and keep buying it.
This does thicken the hair a bit. Not as much as I would have hoped for, but still does do the job a bit. I might try adding vodka to the mix to help with the thickening.
Lathers well. Nice scent. I have been losing hair for about one year. I bought this product based on its reputation and reviews. In one month I have noticed less fall out and my hair looks and feels great.
I do not get the bad reviews....I agree the price is high for suh a lil amount...but this stuff has killer ingredients that are only found in high end salon products(except for the new L'oreal Paris Total Repair line;)Its filled with proteins and vitamins that WILL help your scalp and hair grow! It takes time...but I have tons of baby hairs sticking out everywhere. To the point I feel like I have a buzzed hair cut! Lol! My hair is pased my middle back but its thinning on my top front area. This and the protein and ceramide conditioners have really made a difference. This stuff smell great and lathers up nicely(I was worried as most natural like stuff don't) The keto in it clears the scalp for new growth...but the other healthy stuff thicken up the hair I already have.(Unlike Nizoral..that dries my hair out!)
From a guy's perspective, this is a high-end shampoo that needs to provide value for additional cost and help thinning hair. So far, I have used one and a half six-ounce bottles, motivated by the "achieve the best results in a short period of time" suggestion.
The process requires hair washing twice per session and at least five times per week (leaving it on for 1-2 minutes, then 3-5 minutes each session).
My hair looks fuller for a day after wash, as it would with any volume shampoo. As for "follicle revitalization," I don't see any sign yet, nor any fuller appearance.
If the product doesn't "treat thinning hair conditions in the later stages" as suggested, then it's price versus performance is at risk compared to less expensive volume shampoos. Other professional resources suggest it may not be wise to wash hair every day since it diminishes natural oils that are produced less as we get older.
I would like to see more positive result comments at Drugstore.com before I would reorder and keep trying this product.
After applying Revita with a gentle massage, leave it on the scalp from one to two minutes before rinsing. Repeat & leave it on the scalp for three to five minutes. If desired, follow with a high-quality conditioner. For optimal results, Revita should be used at least five times per week.
