My gums are damaged from brushing too hard with sonicare and manual brushes, Be careful out there! Tried this brush recently and found it to be very soft to the touch, but had a weird drag effect across my gums that caused irritation. Sofar, Oral-b is best for me now.

It seems strange to be passionate about a toothbrush, but ever since my dentist gave me one of these as a sample, I have been searching for it in stores. The bristles are soft but get your teeth very clean. I have curved top front teeth and most brushes make it impossible to get the back of them clean, but this brush works so well! It's easy to hold and although I have a smallish mouth, the head of the brush fits everywhere easily. Maybe the first time I have been willing to buy a toothbrush that wasn't on sale! I highly recommend.

My dentist gave me this toothbrush. It was the last one she had, and she did not expect to get any more. This has all the features that are really hard to find... well, almost impossible. I strongly prefer a flat handle, which few manufacturers make any longer, because it stays straight and does not turn in my hand. And the bristles are truly soft. Nowadays, the term "soft" on a toothbrush package usually means slightly softer than steel wool. The compact head is great for people like me, who have a strong gag reflex. No problems with this brush. I hope Colgate continues to market these.

my dentist says I have found the almost perfect manual toothbrush. soft but effective bristles and a smaller head does the job without causing damage to tender gums

I can tell that the slim bristle tips get between my teeth for a much better clean than my old toothbrush!
