Serum is too lightweight with an almost water consistency. Product runs through my fingers when I try to apply to my face and neck by hand or the liquid gets soaked up into an applicator wasting a lot of product. I have only been using a few weeks so its still to early to see any noticeable improvement in the texture or appearance of my skin.

I use it alone overnight as a treatment, or in the morning as a mask, and I mix it into my body lotion so the skin on my arms and legs are as soft and smooth as my face. It's a great product at a very reasonable price.

This serum not only helps to slough of old skin cells, it also plumps the skin. It works these two ways. I prefer this version because I can use every drop without any waste. The only negative I would mention is that it doesn't travel well. Because it is so liquid, I put it in a plastic bag, but then when it leaks, I loose product, For that reason, I travel with the less potent cream in a tube version.

Alpha Hydrox products are so highly rated that I felt obligated to give them a try. I started with the Alpha Hydrox pads. For various reasons, I wasn't impressed. I decided to move on to the serum. It feels less like a serum and more like a toner, which I like. I've been using the it 3 nights a week for the last month. I started applying it with a cotton ball, but it seemed like I was wasting product. Now, I just pour 7 drops onto my bare fingers and spread it all over my face. My skin is definitely softer and the serum doesn't inflame my mild rosacea, but I've seen no difference in fine lines, pores, or age spots. I will finish the bottle, but I don't plan to buy the serum again.

I think this whole product line is good. I bought several Alpha Hydrox products and am very pleased with them all. It helps my skin look fresh and smooth. The only thing I don't like about the serum it's a liquid. Every serum I've used before had the consistency of a lightweight lotion. If you tend to have sensitive skin, only use these products once a day in the beginning as it can cause skin irritation.
