Consists of a flexible polyurethane foam pad coated with a permeable gentle adherent layer and a moisture vapor permeable, moisture proof film backing. Effective sustained release of silver for up to 7 days; rapid silver release begins inactivating pathogens within 30 minutes. The Safetac® layer seals the wound edges, which prevents wound drainage from leaking onto the surrounding skin and minimizes the risk of additional damage, even under compression.
