The Safetac® layer seals the wound edges, which prevents the wound drainage from leaking onto the surrounding skin and minimizes the risk of additional damage to the area. Safetac® technology ensures that the dressing can be changed without damaging the wound or surrounding skin or exposing the patient to additional pain, and the exclusive 3 layer foam pad absorbs moderate to high amounts of wound drainage effectively. The film backing is moisture vapor permeable and provides a bacterial, viral and moisture barrier.
