It does not smell great coming out of the jar, but it has no odor once it's on your skin. I am 40+ and I use it on my very sensitive face. One of the only products I've found that doesn't cause itching or breakouts.

My 5 year old daughter has eczema (mostly under control) she gets patches here and there. I had heard great things about the Calendula version of this cream and purchased it to use on her. It works great but the scent is overwhelming reminds us of bug repellant spray. It's really strong and my daughter doesn't care for it. So when I saw that this came in an unscented version I ordered it right away because my local store didn't carry it. It arrived quickly (drugstore.com was great!) we opened it and went to use it after her bath and it smelled awful! My daughter said "ewww mom it smells like throw up." And that describes it best. I still used it hoping the smell would go away but hours later you could still smell it on her. We are not overly sensitive to scents but these products just stink literally. It's funny because I used the sensitive wash of theirs on her as a baby and the scent or lack there of was fine. Lesson learned I won't be purchasing anything "unscented" before smelling it first!
