I prefer Duracell over every other battery. I bought these red tops to compare. In certain items, they do last longer, but not much longer. In remotes and game controllers like the Wiimote, they last about twice as long! Some of these "save a buck" people tell you to use your old batteries in things like remotes because remotes don't use that much power. Hah! I have found for tv/cable remotes: Regular batteries = maybe a month Copper Duracell = two to three months Red Duracell = four to six months
My Wiimote can go through regular batteries in a day, just surfing Netflix. Two weeks with coppertop. Three weeks to a month with red top.
These are ridiculously expensive though, hence the four rather than five stars. Wait for a sale, then stock up.
Note: Regular batteries don't include those crazy green or blue ones that are supplied with some electronics. Those can have such a long life, I'm kind of afraid of what might be in them!

I do a lot of graphics work and use mostly cordless equipment that require batteries. These batteries fit the bill perfectly while my rechargeables are not available.
