This is a matte shadow, YAY! It does have a slight blue shift but Im glad it is not sparkly. I can't use purple shadows that have red in it, it irritated my eyes so Im glad I picked this up. This is very pigmented so you don't need to pack this on. I use my ring finger, (brushes pick up too much product) and pat it on. Pops out the green in my hazel eyes. I don't think it is limited edition, but I see it at Wal-Mart and CVS as part of the permanent line. This is the one I exchanged for as Gilded Envy was way too sparkly for me.
