The quality of these L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadows can't be beat. They rival any high end eyeshadow - they last long even without a primer. They look super sparkly in the container, but you can blend them out to look appropriate for daytime. I am older with crepey lids and many shimmery shades look uneven once on. (like Sin or Half-Baked from the Naked One palette) The Infallibles let me get a little shimmer with a smoother finish, somehow. I would not overdo it, however, use a matte color as your highlighter, and possibly matte on the lid, and use this as a crease color, outer 1/3 color, or outer V. Or, you can use just this one color and blend it out as a wash. I have the Infallible Endless Pearl, which is a nice vanilla colored matte to use as a highligher. I tend to use my clean finger to apply these shadows. I was afraid Gilded Envy would be too similar to Golden Sage, but it is olive/grayer/taupier and less greenish; very different.

Way too sparkly for me. Beautiful dark greenish goldish color (looks taupe) but with very fine micro glitter that falls everywhere - your cheeks, under eyes, nose - not a good look. Had exchanged this with the new purple shade, a nice matte blueish purple.
