For (highlighted) blondes who may be trying to extend the time between expensive hair colorist appointments, John Frieda Conditioning Hair Glaze in Cool Blonde can be a practical investment. I have found it works best after shampooing, but before conditioning (I mostly put conditioner on my ends, and this Glaze on my roots- but it is fine if it mixes : )...

I like this product. I have coarse dark blonde to light blonde hair with highlights. I'm graying slightly and my hairstylist put a warm gold glaze all over my hair which warmed my hair up a bit more than I like. This toned it a bit and made my hair shiny and less frizzy. I'll keep using. It has alcohol in it, so I'll monitor as I go along to see if it's drying to my hair. So far, so good.

Put on after washing my hair in the shower. I have a shower comb that I comb through after applying. It is a slippery gel, so it is tricky to get where you want it. I then do the rest of my shower routine to let it set on the hair before rinsing out. I probably don't leave on as long they want you to, but it still works for me. Felt like it brightened up my highlights. I have well water, so after awhile, I feel like they get kinda dull and maybe get a bit discolored.

I have neutral blonde dyed hair. I bought both the cool blonde and the warm blonde. Neither one does anything. They did not add shine, softness, nor did they make the color look brighter, better, less brassy, or warmer. Don't waster your money. Both went in the trash after three tries each.

I used this to make my hair less brassy not realizing it was for cool blondes. I went by the picture on the box which was misleading. Do not use if you are honey blonde it will remove the honey from your hair and leave it pale blonde. I wanted to brighten my color not eliminate it. my mistake for not reading the fine print that it's for cool blondes only. Otherwise great product for in between salon visits.
After shampooing and conditioning hair, squeeze out excess water from hair. Dispense a quarter-sized amount of product into hand and spread from root through entire length of hair. Repeat process 3-5 times to ensure middle to ends of hair are evenly saturated with gloss. Wash hands with soap. Leave gloss on for at least 3 minutes, then rinse. Use gloss weekly to keep colour fresh.
