I think it does help my color to stay a little brighter. I use it once a week. I've tried the Ulta brand but didn't like it, and this is the only other glaze for warm reds that I've found. I'll keep buying this!

I bought this product along with the hair color, shampoo and conditioner hoping to prolong the color in my hair. No luck. I've tried the gloss twice so far and after the first try my hair looked less red than before! I gave it another try and so no change. My hair is short so there isn't an issue of not using enough product. I am not going to use this brand again.

I was a big fan of the older glaze formula but was sad when they discontinued it. This new formula is so much better. I am a natural bright auburn redhead that is getting some greys and strawberry blonde (aaack!) highlights as I age. I don't use any permanent color on my hair. In the winter my hair gets dull and more brown due to the lack of sun (Seattle). This new formula brightened my hair and covered the greys without making the blondes look pink. The product is more of a gel consistency which means it doesn't spill out of my hand when applying like the old formula. It doesn't weigh down my hair (no product only blow-dry). I also have eczema on my scalp and it doesn't sting or irritate it. I'm so happy they brought the product back. I use it maybe twice a week then it lasts for about a month. I shampoo everyday and swim twice a week and it lasts. It brightens my hair and thus my day.

This product is quite effective at refreshing your color on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. If my roots weren't so noticeable then this product would let me go longer in between colorings. It's quite easy to use and I highly recommend it.

This product is a waste of money. Somehow it weighs your hair down but doesn't make it look or feel any better, so you're left with a greasy and dry head of hair.
After shampooing and conditioning hair, squeeze out excess water from hair. Dispense a quarter-sized amount of product into hand and spread from root through entire length of hair. Repeat process 3-5 times to ensure middle to ends of hair are evenly saturated with gloss. Wash hands with soap. Leave gloss on for at least 3 minutes, then rinse. Use gloss weekly to keep colour fresh.
