I have used a prescription strength TENS and it ran forever on 2 AA batteries. While this unit initially gave me relief, after just a few uses it began to shut itself off well before the thirty minute time limit. As the unit sits on the electrode and the electrode was on my back, it was impossible to troubleshoot without removing the electrode, which stuck so hard it hurt with each removal. I know it turned on and off easily so I don't know if the battery was dying, or if the machine was being hit when I leaned back and turned itself off. I didn't even get a day's worth of intermittent treatments from it. For people wanting to use this on body parts that aren't as wide as a back or knee, the electrodes do not maintain contact when folded and the TENS aspect is negated. Total waste of money. I will take it back to store and have ordered a dual channel model on this site that is more like the Rx model I had before.

I am a healthy teenager with a neck injury from cheerleading. I wear the tens unit to school when my neck/back are bothering me, and I turn it on throughout the day to relieve my pain. It is awesome!

It worked the first day, but required help getting it applied. Needed new batteries the 2nd day, and then didn't seem to work..the light blinked, but it delivered no electrical impluse. The 63 levels of adjustment are a guessing game. On the whole I feel I wasted money and time using this product. Stick with ice packs and heating pads...they are more reliable.

Very pleased with this product. It works. Used it for chronic knee pain and it was wonderful. Some have pointed out correctly that there is no display, however the product is about as simple as it can be;you tap the button until it delivers the level of electronic stimulation you want. Highly recommend!

This may be fine if your site of pain is easy to reach. But I have a hard to reach ache, and applying and removing this (as well as adjusting the settings) is nearly impossible without help. I actually strained my left shoulder trying to apply this to the right one. The shape of the pad is also unusual. There are other TENS units available that offer a little more flexibility, and I may try one of those instead.

The Tens unit shuts off after 30 minutes and must be manually restarted. The problem is that the unit and gel pad are stuck to your back and are impossible to visually restart. There are 60 levels but the unit has no counter so you don't know the level that you are on. A 30 minute treatment is not enough to alleviate pain. Restarts are tedious to both caregivers and personal users.
