Fun Kitchen Gadget

This is a pretty good gadget, and it's MUCH less expensive than other spiral cutters I've seen. I have mostly used it with zucchini and cucumbers. Carrots were a bit too hard and kind of got stuck in the blades. It does "spit" out an unshredded core of the vegetable. But, zucchini are cheap and the core is mostly seeds anyway. It sometimes isn't fully clean after one run through the dishwasher and needs to be run through a second time. I wouldn't recommend this item if you don't have a dishwasher. The blades are so sharp that I wouldn't want to try washing by it hand.
