I purchased this item without shopping around because I desperately needed additional makeup storage. I wish I had waited and purchased a different set of acrylic drawers. These drawers are small, yet the unit takes up a surprising amount of space on my vanity. The acrylic is thick, which makes the unit sturdy and I appreciate that, but I think it takes away from storage space inside. The drawers are too short and can't fit lip gloss tubes and lip crayons without turning them sideways, which takes up too much space. Also, while arranging items on my -brand new- vanity, this set of drawers scratched the surface of the vanity.
