I love this stuff. I have pretty fine hair that's prone to greasiness and lack of volume, and this cleansing conditioner is great for daily use to keep the greasies away without overstripping the natural oils in my hair. It's definitely not for someone looking for a thick lather, and it doesn't really give you the super-softness of a traditional conditioner, but I find that it actually helps my hair stay more naturally balanced. After longer use, I don't need those things! My hair just takes care of itself. I do use an anti-residue shampoo and deep conditioner once a week to make sure I don't get too much buildup. The scent is good but doesn't make you smell like a drink with an umbrella in it (I also like the Rosemary Mint one). And using just one product saves time in the shower!! Bonus!
In the past I've used Renpure's Curling Jelly, which I love, so I thought I'd give the cleansing conditioner a try. I wanted to love it, but it leaves my hair feeling heavy, like there's something coating it, and it just looks really, really greasy. My hair doesn't feel softer, or anything positive like that. I followed the directions on the bottle, tried varying the amounts of the cowash I was using, but this just doesn't work for me, and as I sit here with greasy hair wishing I had brought a hat to work with me today, I was compelled to write this review.
This smells like coconut cream pie so the coconut is light and not overpowering. it is more moisturizing then renpures other cleansing conditioners. Will repurchase. I did not care for the thin consistency but it works!
Wet hair thoroughly, use 10-12 pumps, work from roots to ends. Make sure not to rub hair together in a shampooing motion. Only start at the roots and run your fingers to the end in one smooth motion. For better detangling use a wide tooth comb and rinse well. Repeat only if necessary to remove excess styling product build-up.
