You have a migraine so severe as to require bed rest

You have problems or serious side effects from taking pain relievers or fever reducers
You have a history of stomach problems, such as heartburn
You have high blood pressure, heart disease, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, or asthma
You are taking a diuretic
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are
Under a doctor's care for any serious condition
Taking aspirin for heart attack or stroke, because ibuprofen may decrease this benefit of aspirin
Taking any other drug
When using this product
Take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs
The risk of heart attack or stroke may increase if you use more than directed or for longer than directed
Stop use and ask a doctor if
You experience any of the following signs of stomach bleeding
Feel faint
Vomit blood
Have bloody or black stools
Have stomach pain that does not get better
Migraine headache pain is not relieved or gets worse after the first dose
Any new symptoms appear
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. It is especially important not to use ibuprofen during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless definitely directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away..
After coming down with food poisoning, I developed a severe migraine from not being able to keep anything in my stomach other than water. Regular pain relievers couldn't touch it. I took just one of these and I was able to lift my head off my pillow and turn on the TV without feeling as though my head might explode.
So far, so good. I really thought that Excedrin was the only over-the-counter pain reliever I could use to stop a migraine in the early stages. But if you hate the jitteriness from the caffeine in Excedrin, this is a good alternative. I do have to take two of the Advil where one of the Excedrin usually does the trick.
My husband and I used Excedrine Migraine for years. It usually worked, but after multiple doses, and it took a while to kick in. I found Advil Migraine liqui-gels in trial size and decided to give it a try. After one dose, my headache started improving in 15 minutes. After 30, it was gone! My husband agrees. I highly recommend it!
I am very impressed with Advil Migraine! As soon as I realize that I have symptoms of a migraine (usually facial numbness), I take one capsule which usually takes care of the problem within 15 minutes. Occasionally I will need another gel-cap after an hour or so if I have a particularly difficult headache. (Note instructions: Do not exceed 2 capsules in 24 hours). The small golden capsules are easier to carry and the effectiveness last much longer than Advil's green liqui-gels. I strongly recommend trying this product!
This isn't quite as effective on the pain as the Excedrin I've used to treat my migraines in the past. However, it does not give me the jumpy, jittery feeling that Excedrin does. This relieves my migraine pain enough to allow me to sleep the rest of it off, which is ultimately what I want. One thing they don't say, but I would advise: take this ASAP when you know a migraine is coming
