Transitioning from an obstructive faucet-mounted unit, I didn't want to sacrifice any of the benefits or filter quality for convenience. Thankfully, with the pitcher unit I purchased and these filters, I didn't have to sacrifice anything: it's the same great tasting water in a more convenient form. Beyond taking out the majority of a number of impurities, the water simply tastes better than coming from the tap. I won't rave too much about this- since you don't care and won't understand what I mean until you try it for yourself. No, these filters aren't the cheapest and they don't last the longest, but when it comes to what you put into your body (and what has been shown to be in regular tap water), price isn't always the most important thing.

The water tastes great....but the major problem with these filters is that they don't last very long. There are also black carbon bits that keep floating in the filter tank that don't seem to go away. I bought these because I got a good deal...but I'm not sure if I'll continue buying them.....I think tap water would be just as healthy. I saw residue floating in the filtered water quite a few times....so I'm not sure how safe this filtering system really is!
Your water filter pitcher or dispenser can be ready to use in a few steps. Wash your hands before touching the filter, then flush it with cold water for 15 seconds. Insert the filter into the reservoir. Add cold tap water. The first 3 water pitchers or 1 water dispenser of filtered water may contain carbon dust. Use on plants or discard. Replace the water filter every 40 gallons or 2 months. Substances reduced may not be in all users' water.
