I have straight hair (a little on the dry side), and I can understand why some have panned this product. However, I have been using it regularly for about six months and it really works for me. I found that if I shampoo after I have it on, it doesn't do much for me and if I use as if it were a regular conditioner; it is way too heavy and oily. Now, I usually use a small amount about every other day after shampooing. I work it through my hair really well and massage it into my scalp then rinse out as much as I can. Using it this way moisturizes my hair and scalp in a way that conditioner never has. My hair is softer, shiner, and more managable. I no longer use an instant conditioner. I think this is a fantastic product, but everyone has to find his/her own way to use it and abondon all previous notions of how to use "conditioner".

I use this more for my dry, itchy winter scalp than for my hair. I can't imagine it would make a very good styling mousse--you really need to wash this stuff out of your hair or else your hair will look gloopy.

This stuff is horrible. I found that it took about an hour to get it out of my hair and even after using it my hair felt sticky and disgusting. Also, when I was trying to actually use it; it just kept falling of my hair!! You would be much better off with Pantene or with cheaper stuff like Garnier Fructis. They both do wonders!!

This stuff is fantastic! I don't use hair styling products, but just washing your hair every day with the same shampoo and conditioner makes it kind of dull. I used the avocado butter treatment, and it made my hair soft and shiny. I love it!

This stuff is so weird (green, goopy, waxy), but I really like the way my hair looks and feels when my hair is dry. It feels gross in the shower and it's weird to shampoo afterwards (somehow this stuff improves lather), but it's made my hair super soft and less frizzy and has moisturized my hair better than any other conditioner I've ever used before. I will put up with the weirdness because in the end it's worth it.

I didn't care much for this product. As soon as I squeezed it into my palm and saw the green goop I was a little skeptical of massaging it into my hair. But, I went for it. It's not very thick and doesn't lather at all. Not to mention it leaves my hair oily.

Strange consistency at first, it doesn't feel silky right away. But it makes your shampoo lather better, has a really yummy orangey-almost-peachy smell to it, and makes your hair silky and soft and piece-y when it air dries.

Horrible consistency. Difficult to apply and even worse to remove. Once washed out, I needed a conditioner as it left my hair dry and lifeless. Disgusting slime green color.

I like this stuff. I have very thick, straight, silky hair that is so fine that it is almost the consistency of spider web. I have grown it out pretty long because there is not much else I can do with it style-wise--it's pretty unmanageable. I have to use a very rich conditioner to detangle my hair or it's mats up like long cat hair. This conditioner worked pretty well for me, personally.

This product is GREAT! I gave it 4 stars only because the cold water kept running down the side of my face while I did chores with the product in my hair. I do realize that wearing a shower cap can easily rectify this. Other than that, it left my hair soft and manageable, without the frizz. I am a Black female living in cold weather climate, my hair is straightened and color treated, and I exercise a lot. This product is a Godsend for me. I did use some conditioner after shampooing. I use it weekly and told my friends about it. They are now using it too!! Thank you Burt's Bees!!
