This is more of a hair "treatment" than a conditioner. When I used it, it felt waxy on my thick, wavy hair. It then took three shampoos to wash it out. I wouldn't have minded if I had noticed a difference after washing and drying my hair, but it did not leave my hair any softer or shinier than before. NOT recommended!!!

I do not like the smell at all; it is kind of sour and not what I like my hair to smell like. However, it did leave my hair looking and feeling conditioned. While I was using it, it did not feel soft or make my hair tangle free, in fact just the opposite. I'd use this product in addition to a detangler and a better smelling conditioner; mix it in like a hair cocktail. I love how it makes my hair feel and look once its dry so I continue to buy this conditioner. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and have used many products to compare this one too.

After spending the evening at a bonfire, my hair was completely dried out. I remembered I had a sample of this conditioner so I decided to try it. It said to leave it in while you shower or longer if you have time, so I took a shower and washed my hair then I put in the conditioner and left it in for several hours, I even took a nap with it in. When I woke up I washed it out. At first my hair seemed kind of oily from it, but then I washed my hair again the next day and it was beautiful and super shiny. I will be buying the full size tube.

This product WORKS! You can also use this avocado butter as a mousse or gel, not as a conditioner. It keeps hair in place, smells good, and unlike hairspray, is not flammable.

This left my hair stringy, but it works all right as a weekly deep conditioner left on for 15 minutes or so. For normal hair like mine, I wouldn't recommend this for frequent use. As a general rule, I go with Aveda for all things hair.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I have curly hair that used to turn into a huge out-of-control frizz-fest if I didn't put tons of styling products into it and use tons of conditioner every single day. The Avocado Butter Conditioner was a lifesaver for me! Very little is needed, despite my long thick hair and it smells very clean. I must admit, I was a little worried about how thick the product was (not to mention the weird color) but it worked wonderfully. My hair was left soft and silky- totally manageable and not at all frizzy. I'm using less styling product and only condition every other day or so. If the correct amount is used on very wet hair, left in for the recommended amount of time and then washed out you will experience joy, relief and (dare I say) your life will be more fulfilling! :)

I LOVE IT. I use it once or twice a week as a deep conditioner and follow a different routine with it. I have to shampoo prior to using it to get all the hair products out of my hair and I use a shampoo with a conditioner, and then comb out my hair in the shower. I use just a tablespoon; rub it in my hands and over my hair and into the ends. I have long thick curly hair and generally need a handful of regular conditioner to get comb-able hair. I shower, then rinse it a little, then lightly shampoo it out. It does not leave a slick feeling like my daily conditioner does but it does leave me with soft manageable hair. This is not a normal conditioner because of the olive and avocado oils in it, but it can leave your hair looking fabulous if you have the right kind of hair and find a way to use it effectively. I will definitely keep using it once or twice a week.

This product left my hair tangled and rough, but I did like how it made my hair very shiny.

This is a treat. It smells great and works as advertised. It is awesome for once a week intensive hair conditioning.

I got my first sample of this in one of the small kits that Burts Bees makes, and recently bought a full size tube. I would agree that it is wonderful stuff! The appearance of it isn't that great. It looks like green slime. But the smell of it is very wonderful... very citrusy. I use the conditioner only on the weekends, since it's best to leave it in as long as possible. Most people say you have to use quite a bit to make it work, but I only apply mine to my hair that is at my ears and below (I have long hair), which is mainly the ends. Applying it to the scalp will make your scalp a bit greasy and covering the whole head will require the use of a lot of product. Which I think, makes a lot of people run out of it too fast. I do wish that it came with more product. I have always loved this conditioner and would highly recommend it to anyone.
