I love this product!! I have dry curly hair and I use this product all the time. It cuts down on the frizzies and helps make styling easier. Word of caution however; use only a small amount. Too much makes my hair greasy and weighed down. I use a small amount and spread as evenly as possible through my hair and it works terrific!!

My usually oily hair was suddenly dry and brittle after a move to Philly, and using the very hard water. I had a sample of avocado butter from a trial kit, and decided to try it. My hair was soon back to its normal texture, and shine. I cannot say enough about this product, but I don't think I would need it if not for the water situation, so keep that it in mind when deciding.

I thought that this would be more of a creamy consistency because it's avocado "butter", but it's more like a thick gel. It's a little hard to spread at first, but once it's in, it soaks in nicely, and is not sticky. I left it in for about 20 minutes, and it made my fine curly hair super soft, and didn't weigh it down.

Maybe this is a good product in extreme heat, but I found it to be a gooey mess that was very difficult to wash out. It left my hair looking like an oil slick for about 3 days. Nonetheless, I threw it in a drawer and only tried it again when my hair was showing signs of overexposure to processing/heat. Again, it felt horrible on my hair, and didn't really help the dryness. I threw it out after that.

This has to be the most disgusting thing I have ever put on my hair. This stuff made my life miserable for one whole week, yes, that's how long it took for me to get my hair back to normalcy. My hair felt like 10 pounds heavier, thicker, frizzier than ever, and ugly. What a waste of time, energy and money!

I was given a bottle of Burt's Bees avocado butter hair treatment. I did not use it. Until we went to Alaska and it was 1 above zero. The damage to my hair was awful. I have long, naturally white hair, and it was coming out by the handfuls. I remembered this, and for a couple nights I just rubbed it on my dry hair. That helped a lot, and it was not sticky or gooey. A couple days later, I washed my hair as usual and used this in place of my hair mousse. I did not use a lot, and it has totally stopped my hair from falling out. This is the best thing I have ever tried, and am getting more, plus will try other of their products. Thanks so much.
