Indications

Temporarily protects and helps relieve minor skin irritation and itching due to: rash, eczema, poison ivy, oak or sumac, insect bites.

For use on mild to moderate eczema or psoriasis, or as directed by a physician.

Warnings

For external use only. Not to be used during pregnancy. Not to be used while nursing. Therapeutic use is not recommended in hyperthyroidism; long-term therapeutic use is not recommended. When using this product do not get into eyes. Stop use and ask a doctor if condition worsens, symptoms last more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

I am a 71 year old female who has spent innumerable amounts on different skin care products. After reading reviews for the African Black Soap I starting using it on my face about 2 weeks ago. I have prominent signs of sun damage and am finding the soap has made my skin brighter looking, and appears to be decreasing the dark spots I have from too much sun exposue. I love it. No more expensive skin treatments for me.

I bought this to try to help my KP (keratosis pilaris) on my arms and legs. It has significantly improved! It's not 100% gone, but it has worked better than any other product I have used, including prescription medications from my dermatologist. I also love that this is cruelty-free and fair trade. I will definitely repurchase! Note: this soap has large, chunky granules in it, so if that bothers you, I don't recommend it.

So the soap is not bad. I would say the first week I noticed a difference. Previous reviewer said it cured their KP in a week. That is fantastic, but I haven't seen such noticeable results yet.Yesterday, I still had to do a sugar scrub. As far as the soap after the wash, my skin is noticeable cleaner and not dry. I am active, work out, and sweat. I also have sensitive skin thus, this is not a bad choice.

This cured my KP in less than a week. I've been using prescriptions for years but they are slow to work and I hate putting the chemicals on my skin. I tried this on a whim and I am so thrilled it worked! I use many Shea Moisture products and I have always been impressed!
