I am very light-skinned and wanted a self-tanner that looked real versus most that are too dark, and this one does the trick. It seems to work better if I moisturize before applying. It also smells fine with no lingering odor.

You get what you pay for. I've used Ocean Potion products in the past and had been pleased with the results so figured I would give this a try. I am always looking for a great lotion self-tanner, rather than a spray. This one did smell really great but it did not leave me tan, even after 2-3 applications.

Pros: The smell is great with no sunless tanner smell. Absorbs very well. Creates a nice summer color.

Cons: The product only comes in a small bottle and unlike their other sunless tanner lotion it does not have a pump.

Bottom line: I think I will purchase this product again if it's on sale but I prefer ocean potions sunless tanner lotion in a larger bottle.

I am leaving this review in the hopes it will be helpful to Ocean Potion fans and those looking for a great self-tanner. I was surprised to see this product only had one review and it was sponsored, so here's one from a regular shopper.

I use Ocean Potion's 50+ Sunblock and Ever Glow Daily Original as a daily moisturizer in the summer to keep myself from looking white on the beach. I don't like to take sun and skin cancer is common in my family, so a self-tanner that moisturizes, smells great, and gives me natural, even color is very important to me. So, when I saw a more "Xtreme" version of Daily Glow came out, I was excited to try it.

This product is exactly like it says, it develops more quickly and deeply than the Daily lotion. Its new mango lime scent is less sweet and less powerful than the original's creamsicle smell any Ocean Potion user is familiar with. Although I like the creamsicle smell, this one is more practical for when you don't want to smell overpoweringly sweet. This new lotion also has NO self-tanner after smell, whereas the original had a slight bit of it after developing overnight.

Be sure to use a thick moisturizer, such as Dermasil (another excellent non-animal testing brand) on dry spots, elbows, knees, hands, feet, and face before applying any self-tanner. I find if I do this, my Ever Glow tan looks literally flawless, even, and never streaky or patchy. To make the tan develop EXTRA dark, sit in the sun in a swimsuit for 10-15 minutes. It will look like you baked for hours without having to do so.

I was getting ready for Cabo and realized I was very pale - practically blue/white... Not a good combo on the beach. Needed a fast easy way to get some color and used Ocean Potion Ever Glow Xtreme Self Tanning Lotion! Awesome - it saved me (and everyone who looked at me) and it went on smooth, not streaks, easy to use. Not orange like some of them are - just a nice natural tan color. And you can layer so go as dark or light as you need!
