I've used many inexpensive brands of dry shampoo, and Suave and Batiste are my top 2. Both brands are more powdery than most other brands. They both can leave a white residue that brushes right away on my blond hair and can dull the shine, but they also add body and volume at the roots. Some other brands feel like hairspray and don't help much with my oiliness. My hair gets oily the day after shampooing, so what I've found works best is to spray my roots right after I originally wash and dry my hair on the first day. I don't know if this would work for everyone, but for me this dry shampoo is already in my hair as my scalp starts to get oily so the dry shampoo can start absorbing right away. By the next day I might only have to touch up the sides where I get oiliest first. I can make it to 4 days if I put my hair into a pony tail and spray lightly and brush lightly over the surface of my hair, but underneath it is pretty oily. bleh. The smell is kind of strong and can be choking if you don't have good ventilation. Keep your pets and family/roommates away. Don't forget to shake well and often as you spray, and use short burst from about 8 inches or more away.

I LOVED the old Suave dry shampoo (yellow cap, citrus scent). They quit making it and I bought this new one, thinking they would be similar. They are nothing alike! This product SMELLS TERRIBLE. It also doesn't clean very well - I have tried several dry shampoo brands, and I would say this is the least effective at cleaning. It is going in the trash and I'll have to search for another brand.
