I tried this because I use the Renewing Lotion, and I felt like I wasnt getting the effect I used to from the lotion. This works 1000x better than the lotion did for me! I would highly recommend it. If you have never used the Renewing products from Cerave- they were originally prescribed by my dermatologist and I had to special order it. It was for those annoying little bumps on the backs of your arms and on your legs etc. Now that you can buy it at the store it is also much more reasonably priced. And the prices on here are even cheaper!

I love CeraVe products, but this cleanser can be a little harsh on my face, so I just use it a couple of times a week, for best results. I also use it on my arms (I get those little bumps, called keratosis pilaris) in the shower, followed by the SA Renewing Lotion.
My dermatologist recommended the lotion and I have been very happy with the results; that is why I have been trying all their products. For daily morning use, the foaming cleanser works better for me. At night, I use a gentle milk cleanser by Avene (not to be confused with Aveeno).
FYI… I have sensitive, fair skin, with the oily T-zone and am 48 years old, with the starting signs of aging. I have tried SO many skin care products, without much luck, so it is so refreshing to find a line that overall works very well and doesn't cost a fortune!

I use the whole line of this product daily. I have a morning and nighttime regimen. I love the pricing. I get many compliments on how beautiful my skin is. I am 61 and I am wearing less make up with the help of these products!

Exfoliant products with beads or granules are a little harsh for me so I tried CeraVe's renewing cleanser as an experiment and was pleasantly surprised. It goes on like any cleanser, no burning or other reaction, but definitely leaves my skin smoother. I would not use this as my daily cleanser or to remove makeup. I use it in the morning and avoid the eye area as salacylic acid and eye membranes don't seem compatible. But for gentle exfoliation a couple days a week, it's an effective and pleasant-to-use choice. I am a fan of Cera Ve products and think they have another winner here.
